Have you still not started your email list?

I receive this question daily: "How do I start an email list?"

Guess what, bucko... this isn't the sexy "hack" you want to hear...

But, it's what you NEED to hear, so keep reading

The one thing you need to start an email list is consistency to show up every single day

And this is also the one thing that leads to most people failing

You know how I "started an email list"?

I made a free mailchimp account and STARTED AN EMAIL LIST

I didn't do anything special at all

After that, I simply plugged my email list to my ~250 followers until one dude signed up for my list

Then I wrote to that guy for about 10 days before I got my second sub

But...

They key was, I showed up every single day

This allowed me to practice and find my voice

That guy had no idea I was writing to him and him alone

Who cares, anyways?

Someone raised their hand and said, YES NICK, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU

So, I delivered, every single day, without fail

Consistency is king

There's no hack or secret or any of that bullshit

You simply make an email account, plug it to your list and write emails

That's it

And for those of you who are going to ask, "but how do I promote it and get people to sign up?"

I've never done any promo outside of Twitter and I have over 1,200 subs in < 1 year of solid work

You can equate between $1-$4 per sub, per month

At my current numbers, I can BANK on the high end of this, because I've taught myself copywriting

I know if I run my promos properly, every month, I can depend on a steady $3,000/mo from this list

For those of you who aren't copywriters, we like to use a term called "swiping"

Which is essentially studying the FORMAT of written words, such as emails or sales pages

I suggest you SWIPE someone's emails and rewrite them for your own list when you first start writing
