We use the word outrage too often - but this is a genuine fucking outrage.
May has confirmed her strategy is to run down the clock so, at the last minute, MPs are left with a choice between her preposterous deal and the nation-destroying wreck of no deal at all: all the control taken back from the British people and given to her alone.
There is no possibility whatsoever that a deal and all necessary legislation can be ratified in 17 days between 12 March and exit day. Parliament has procedures and democratic oversight for precisely this reason: to stop miserable autocrats like May.
This excuse for a prime minister now poses an active threat to British jobs and lives. She is barbaric and nihilistic enough to do this. The stain of her obscene premiership will take decades to heal. And if MPs do not stop her, they will be as culpable for the disaster as she is
