[Incidentally, SanDisk are the only memory cards I use as a photographer - always nice to get to test something made by a company I already support.]

So I have thoughts, this will be a thread, about the @SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive 32 GB that I was given.

Most simply, I like it. It’s useful and easy to use.

That being said, for someone like me that has 100K + photos on their iPhone, synced to iCloud, I may not be the

target audience for a device like this.

Ideal customer is someone who can only afford the smallest storage iPhone or other cell phone and does want to constantly back up and erase from their mobile device.

If that’s you, this will be great for you to backup photos, calendar &

contacts in both an automatic and semi-automatic way. Some screenshots:

But I do see a few drawbacks that I’d love to see @SanDisk address in possible future versions.
- larger capacity
- background syncing/uploading (right now it wants you to have phone open only to the device’s app during backup), or even
- Bluetooth or wireless functionality

Also, @MikesRoadTrip says he uses @SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive not for backup of his phone but to save movies on that he then watches on his device when he travels.

I’ll try that for my next trip.
