If you're wondering just how complicit the Republican Party is in Trump's criminality, not ONE asked about the shocking, allegations of illegal activity put forward by his PERSONAL attorney WITH EVIDENCE.

Every single one attacked THE ATTORNEY instead.

The basic position of the entire Republican party right now is:

"We KNOW Trump lied and broke the law, we know there is EVIDENCE he lied and broke the law, we know those lies fundamentally HURT the American people and WE DON'T CARE."
Wow. Cohen's statement to Republicans as he heads to prison:

"I did the same thing you're doing now. I protected Mr. Trump…I can only warn people, the more that follow Mr. Trump as I did blindly are going to suffer the same consequences I'm suffering."
Chris Christie: “There hasn’t been ONE Republican yet who’s tried to defend the president on the SUBSTANCE.”

All they can do is attack Cohen.

Because EVERYONE, including them, knows Cohen is telling the truth that Trump is a racist criminal.

Right now the President of the United States is hanging out with a murdering dictator he says he “admires” while his personal attorney testifies before congress that he illegally paid hush money to a porn star and colluded with a hostile country to destroy democracy in America.
My favorite part about the Cohen testimony is that it confirms all the things you just KNEW were true:

- Trump was projecting about Obama.

- He ran for office as a political stunt and never thought he’d win.

- He functions more like a crime syndicate than a politician, etc.

Making all public college free in the US would cost about $60 billion.

Congress gave the military a $61 billion increase from fiscal year 2017 to 2018.

We didn’t even have a national conversation about it.

I’m sorry but this is horseshit. Of course we can afford it.
A couple notes:

1. The number is actually more like $40 billion since roughly $20 billion in Pell Grants are already being spent on public schools.

2. The F-35 fighter jet cost $400 billion to develop. It can't fly at night & has never seen combat.

Some say, "People aren't ready for this. It's too progressive."

Well,

1. Public college was free (at least in certain states) up until quite recently.

2. Trump's tax cut cost $174 billion THIS YEAR. That's over 4 TIMES as much as free public college would cost ($40 billion).
