1) With the recent walk-back of “collusion” by the Left it’s worth revisiting the Alfa Bank Allegations & the Trump Tower Server.

2) Sept. 14, 2016 - Steele produced three memos in front of a meeting w/FBI "small group" in Rome - where Steele transmitted his dossier.

In one of his 9/14 memos, Steele alleged a "close relationship between the leadership of Alfa Bank and Putin. Steele spelled Alfa as “Alpha”
3) Sept. 19, 2016 - Perkins Coie partner Michael Sussmann met w/FBI General Counsel James Baker.

Sussmann gave Baker a packet of data - including a memory stick - on the Alfa Bank allegations.

This was confirmed by Baker in his testimony.
4) In Sept '16 Steele was back in Washington.

On Sept 23 - 4 days after Sussmann’s meeting w/Baker - Ohr met Steele for a second breakfast in DC.

Steele had also met w/a number of journalists.
5) The same day as the Ohr/Steele breakfast meeting - Sept 23 - two articles on Carter Page were published.

The first by Ioffe, referenced, in addition to Carter Page, Fusion GPS...and Alfa Bank.

6) The second, by Michael Isikoff, focused on Page and would be used by the FBI in the Page FISA application.

7) Immediately following the publication of the Isikoff story, the Hillary for American Campaign issued a press release touting "bombshell report" on Trump-Russia ties, citing the Yahoo story.

8) As this was going on the FBI & Baker learned that Sussmann (Clinton/DNC lawyer) was also talking to the New York Times about the same info on Alfa Bank given to Baker.

The FBI asked the NYT to hold off on publishing while they investigated. The NYT agreed.
9) In October '16 - and possibly September - FBI Gen Counsel Baker also had some conversations with journalist David Corn.

Corn would provide FBI's Baker w/some new Steele documents in early Nov '16 - that Baker believed originated from Glenn Simpson.
10) On Oct 31, the FBI apparently had finished their investigation - finding no evidence re: Alfa bank.

The NYT - released from their agreement - published an article on the same day noting exactly this.

11) Two other articles came out the same day.

One was a since-debunked article by Slate alleging a server in Trump Tower had been communicating with a server at Alfa Bank in Russia.

The article was used to promote the Trump–Russia collusion narrative.

12) The other article published on Oct. 31, by Mother Jones reporter David Corn, provided the first public reporting on the existence of the Steele dossier.

Notably, Corn’s article also mentioned Alfa Bank.

13) Which begs the question, were the authors of these other two, highly coincidentally timed articles also asked to delay their publication?

It seems as if all three were given the green light at the same time.
14) On the same day, Oct. 31, Hillary Clinton sent a tweet regarding Alfa Bank that included a statement from Jake Sullivan, a senior policy adviser.
15) With this statement from the Clinton campaign, combined with the Slate and Mother Jones article, the Alfa Bank story took off—despite the same-day story from the Times that specifically noted the FBI had investigated that matter and found nothing untoward.
