Disgusting Democrats in Congress
This hearing disgusts me more than usual. These Democrats making deceitful, incendiary speeches instead of asking intelligent questions are a threat to the sovereignty of the United States. They are haranguing @SecNielsen for upholding the law.

.@SecNielsen is enforcing the laws Congress made. The law mandates the separation of families. This is no different from what happens to native born American citizens. If parents go to jail, they get separated from their children who cannot be put in jail along with parents.

Separation of children from adults who illegally cross the border with them is not new. This has been going on for decades. This issue is quite complex, but only Congress can fix this. CBP does not make laws. DHS does not make laws. ICE does not make laws. Only Congress does.

.@SecNielsen is begging Congress to fix the laws. Democrats in Congress refuse to cooperate because they want to keep the issue alive as they think it benefits them politically.

Those who would like to study the issue in more depth, please see this thread I wrote eight months ago to the day. Nothing has changed, except the number of illegal border crossings using children as pawns has only gone up. This is heartbreaking and cruel.
