For a change, you do have a point. I will give you that.

However, the main objection the "conservative columnist" has to girl scouts today is this: "conservative columnist complained the organization no longer promoted God and country, but instead focused on self-confidence."
By the way, the "conservative columnist" turns out to be a sportscaster named Jane Chastain who I had never heard of before today. @AOC's staff works hard to hunt for quotes in arcane places that they can leverage to make @AOC look good.

@DavidAFrench Allow me to dispense your "abortion victories" argument with a simple observation that the decline in the number of abortions in the U.S. has mirrored the declines in Europe and in all developing countries. There has not been a more dramatic decline in the U.S. comparatively. 2/

Oh, My! This is So Sad and So Hilarious!

Sad because @NBCNews offers its "news" services to whitewash a Democratic political scandal by selectively quoting friendly "experts."

Hilarious because the defense offered is that the scam was too amateurish to warrant jail time.
I kid you not. Here are the "exculpatory" quotes:
a) "There's no evidence of ... elaborate scam, two experts told NBC News, which is often the major concern with LLCs and PACs run by the same people."
b) "... a small fine could result from such a violation, not jail time."
And while @NBCNews was busy covering @AOC's political behind by making excuses for her campaign finance skulduggery, @washingtonpost's house "conservative," @JRubinBlogger was busy covering Pelosi's by accusing Republicans for Democrats' anti-Semitism.

If you want to see unbelievably obnoxious behavior on the part of the Democratic members of Congress before whom @SecNielsen presented her testimony, go through this thread, watch the videos and cry. These members of Congress are shameful human beings.
Disgusting Democrats in Congress
This hearing disgusts me more than usual. These Democrats making deceitful, incendiary speeches instead of asking intelligent questions are a threat to the sovereignty of the United States. They are haranguing @SecNielsen for upholding the law.

Today I'm ignoring that embarrassing sideshow of a president in favor of writing a thread about just a few of the many things about last night's election that are making me *really* happy today. Feel free to add on to it!
First, I just want to point out that for the Dems to have re-taken the House in an economy this strong is very impressive. Unseating incumbents is *really* hard to do & doing so in a strong economy, nearly impossible. Many candidates who did it were 1st timers too. Uh. May. Zing.
Next, I’m thrilled Dems gained SIX new state trifectas, states where they control gov's office & both legislature chambers. Like CA, these states can now push back hard against the horror show coming out of DC, especially NY, which is now _officially_ East Coast Resistance HQ.

1/ Former Republican @MaxBoot spent eight years trying to stop Obama as an aide to both @SenJohnMcCain McCain and @MittRomney and as a longtime conservative columnist.

Boot, who is now a columnist for the @washingtonpost was never a Trump fan
2/ but he did write a column the day after the election in which he argued that a @realDonaldTrump presidency “might not be so bad” and encouraged optimism.

Now, in a new piece for the Post, Boot is prepared to say that, actually, it is that bad.

Dad was detained in a #Texas detention center where @RAICESTEXAS consulted. Dad accepted a deportation to be quickly reunited w/ his infant child. However, the Dad was deported & NOT his child. The now 8-month-old baby has been in ORR custody for 4 months. #EndFamilySeparation

The announcement by the #POTUS that he is replacing National Security Advisor LTG H R #McMaster with #Ambassador #JohnBolton is great news. This is an over due change that I wish Mr #Trump had made long ago.
John #Bolton is probably the most experienced and capable #diplomat in America today. He will be coming in at a critical time when the #President needs solid advice on dealing with #Iran, #NorthKorea, #Russia, #ISIS, and an array of other threats.
As for LTG #McMaster, I thank him for his service and wish him the best in the future. That said, there were issues, as I see them, regarding the #General’s tenure.
