NEW: I just left court. Judge Ellis sentenced Paul Manafort to 47 months in prison — with the last 9 months counting as time served. That means 38 more months in prison. He also imposed restitution of $25 million — and a fine at the sentencing minimum of $50,000. Story to come.
Mueller continually suggested — while never outright saying — that he wanted the judge to follow the sentencing guidelines & sentence Manafort to 19-24 years in prison.

Judge Ellis sentenced him to 47 months (with 9 months of it counting as time served).

So @RadioFreeTom’s whole shtick is that he is a True Conservative™ fighting in the wilderness against everyone else who has sold out & don’t believe in conservative principles anymore.

Let’s take a quick survey of his stances. I’ll let you decide if it’s actual conservatism. 1/
Abortion? I think his views on that have been pretty obvious in the current discussion, but you don’t have to take my word for it. And look at the way he talks to one of the best pro-life writers out there. Is this conserving conservatism? 2/
What about the Second Amendment? Apparently the conservative position on that is to misrepresent the position of pro-Second Amendment advocates, to argue for strict gun control, and to call on Senators to run gun manufacturers out of their states. Conservatism! Who knew? 3/

NEW: Previously unreleased court transcripts — plus the federal ruling finding North Korea responsible for the torture of Otto Warmbier & liable for $501 million in damages to the Warmbier family — contradict Trump’s claim that Kim Jong Un “didn’t know.”

Until today, the transcripts I got could only be read for free on a computer in the D.C. District Court. Besides expert testimony, the transcripts contain 43 pgs of testimony from Otto Warmbier’s dad, mom, brother, & sister that’s barely been reported on.

Also: Otto Warmbier’s parents — Fred & Cynthia — just released a statement blasting President Trump for letting Kim Jong Un off the hook: “Kim & his evil regime are responsible for the death of our son Otto... No excuses or lavish praise can change that.”

#Manafort was given an excessively lenient sentence by a U.S. Federal judge who referred to him as "a very generous person"? Say it isn't so.

Hint: bribe, blackmail, offshore account
Sure the #Manafort sentencing should highlight the inequality in the Justice System that punishes impoverished people much stricter, but guys.. poor people can't bribe or blackmail their judges. Injustice is a by-product of corruption and indifference. Investigate Judge Ellis.
It isn't the numbers on his birth certificate that coerced the #Manafort sentencing but the numbers accumulating in his accounts. The US is plagued by corruption and kompromat. It's a crisis nobody is willing to tackle, it will only get worse.

The judge has sentenced Paul Manafort to less than 4 years.
The judge stated:

Manafort "lived an otherwise blameless life and " was a good friend and generous person to others"

Huh? Are we talking about the decades long crime spree he went on? I call BS.
If I recall correctly Judge Ellis actually scolded the prosecutors more than once for outlining his outlandish Spending habits.

He had a lot of ppl wondering if he was in Trumps pocket back then.

Either way Manafort's sentence is outrageous.

This is a considerable downward departure from the guidelines which called for between around 19 to 24 years. Wow.
I should use the word “variance“ and not departure.
