Minicab driver last night: "Why don't we just leave?"
ME: "Why do you want to?"
DRIVER: "All the rules telling us what to do"
ME (boy did he pick the wrong passenger): Out of 35K pieces of Westminster legislation, only 4K were EU-led, only 72 against our wishes.

DRIVER: "But we can't deport criminals and sex offenders - there's a prison up the road full of them"...

ME: "You know we CAN deport foreign criminals, right? Unless they have naturalised as British or would not be safe in their home country.
And before the ref non-EU citizens were ten times as likely to naturalise (EU citz didn't bother).
And no EU country is deemed unsafe"...

DRIVER: "What about that human rights court in Brussels?"
ME: "Strasbourg. It's not part of the EU. It has about 20 non-EU members. And we are not leaving it after Brexit."
DRIVER: "It's all EU as far as I'm concerned. Remainer aren't you"
ME: " You are very perceptive."
