It didn’t help her in NY when she said that President Clinton should have resigned.
The vast majority of Americans didn’t agree with that then and don’t agree now.
And it was a stupid thing to say when we need to get rid of @realdonaldtrump.

@CNN This resolution does not seek to regulate BDS. That’s a different bill that passed the senate. This is a much better alternative. Simply say it’s wrong.
@CNN There are zero First Amendment issues with the Nadler resolution. It simply says that BDS is bad policy and undermines a two-state solution which is 100% true.

Nationalizing major industries is exactly what Democratic Socialism is about.
An alternative is FDR style democratic capitalism-- regulation of business plus basic government services. Social Security, public education, health care...

A third alternative is free market economics with little or no government. The track record for that approach has not been so good. 1929, 2008 ....
A fourth alternative is Trumpism -- a combination of (white) nationalism with socialism. No thanks..
@commondreams I dislike any type of socialism which is very different from regulated capitalism plus basic government services such as public education and health insurance. But socialism can exist in democracies. If you want to see socialism that is not democratic look at Venezuela.

Have you ever thought about what makes a country peaceful (internally)? Why, for example, has the US been peacefully changing leaders for so long? I know the kneejerk reaction is the Constitution, and there’s certainly some truth to that. But it’s not just that.
The primary reason countries are peaceful is because the citizens aren’t angry with their government. Angry enough to change the government I mean. Look at what’s happening in Iran. A government with immense repressive powers, designed to keep its people under control.
Yet, they’re currently undergoing a revolution. The Iranian people have had enough. They rose up during Obama’s tenure but failed because they had no outside support, but also because they didn’t have a good plan for overcoming the government. .@ThomasWictor has articulated this

The meeting was orchestrated by Aras Agalarov, whose father-in-law was the KGB chief in Soviet Azerbaijan, at the encouragement or perhaps behest of Yury Chaika's office. Veselnitskaya's partner in lobbying against Magnitsky is Rinat Akhmetshin, himself a former KGB officer.
The Agalarovs' connection to Trump is well-established. A lot of go-nowhere real estate deal in Russia, and the Miss Universe Pageant. The Trump family's fondness for Emin also no doubt helped grease the wheels.

This piece by Danielle Smith is absolutely breathtaking. In it she argues for we should abolish all universal social programs - healthcare, education, old age security etc etc. "Maybe none of our programs should be universal," she says globalnews.ca/news/4210573/d…
She makes the argument that anyone making above $300,000 a year should have their own healthcare system, their own university, their own private schools, their own child care etc etc.

My thoughts since Nov 2016 “election” —

I honestly thought (regardless of 2A, religion, abortion issues), that colluding & conspiring with a hostile foreign government and a dictator who regularly chooses murder over democracy, would sink Trump and cause the GOP to act.
That the appointments of inept, corrupt & complicit cabinet members who also committed perjury, would cause even a Republican Congress was to take notice and action.
That a “president” who cannot speak, spell or engage appropriately with world leaders/American allies would not cause concern & outrage with the vast majority of Americans and Congress.

1)so I am going to start w a little background info on my experience in the Restaurant world. I have had multiple careers over the years but I spent a lot of time in Rest & construction fields as they are 'fallback' jobs 4 me & I watched as both industries went from all Americans
2)to almost all illegal aliens working in those jobs. I started working in restaurants at HS age as a line cook. I also started working summers as a brick tender, building brick houses. That was in the mid 80s before I went in the Army & I never worked either with any illegals
3) when I came home from the Army I went back to work in both types of job, bcuz they were easy to get. Bricks during the day, cooking at night I did that for 2 years. During that time restaurants started hiring illegal alien dishwashers, of course at that time none knew their
