options for govt to get round #BercowBlock.

Constitutional
1.) rewording of motion:given high bar Bercow set earlier= unlikely

2) Prorogation: politicises the Queen. Buckingham Palace will hate it. Takes time/new Queen’s speech and vote which govt might lose=unlikely

(1/3)
3) Paving motion: house makes clear it wants to vote on it again=possible but maj far from certain. If this works presumably there would be maj for deal too.

Political

4) new concessions from EU= v unlikely

5) PM changes her red lines so deal is different= unlikely

(2/3)
6) Kyle-Wilson= other PMs might seize it as the last option standing and best chance of delivering Brexit and dividing Labour but can’t see May having the political agility to do it.

Everything points to long extension.
