Predictably terrible reporting of Bercow decision in tabloids today, as a Remainer saboteur against the will of the people.
People can complain about social media echo chambers and online abuse all they like. But the right-wing tabloids have done their damnedest to fan the flames of tribalism and perpetual background-noise conspiracy theory.
They were in on this shit well before Twitter came along and go out of their way to worsen it now it's here.

Please do watch this. There are moments that'll break your heart, but you'll come away much better informed about what's going on in this country.
It's hard to really express the despair you feel when people who have been utterly destroyed by Tory policies back a Tory policy like Brexit to turn it around.
But you can't answer that question without hearing it. Remain must be grounded in turning things around for people like this, or it's nothing.

Very positive. If May deal defeated, we can extend to April 12 - MPs then have a chance to come up with a plan, propose it, and get a longer extension, as long as we take part in European elections.
This is as good a result as we could possibly have asked for and, honestly, EU being more patient then you'd expect.
If MPs can now take control under a form of the Benn amendment next week, there is still a way out of this godforsaken mess.

It has been said that tensions have never been higher in society. This claim is made more and more. An understandable perception if you consume a lot of cable news and social media. This perception that is actually completely false. A thread 🤔
The saturation of cable news networks driving agendas and sensationalism help create a perception of deep division.
Add in social media echo chambers and the illusion is firmly reinforced.
Note: on social media it’s not always YOUR voice echoed. That is important to understand.
Tensions are rather high and many are emboldened to childishly act out. There are large enough percentages of the population actually protesting against the natural rights our nation was founded upon and the few funding, organizing, and steering drones or "useful idiots".

Snowden is completely right. This is why the Internet was built to allow for anonymous users. It's why people are terrified of 4chan.

True anonymity is the most dangerous weapon in the world.
When I first went onto the Internet, I had my own set of usernames, which slowly changed and evolved throughout my life, I'd say The_War_Economy is the third iteration of online personas that I've held.
How many times have people been screwed over by something they said years ago, because it was attached to their actual name and personality? It's ridiculous, it's stupid. And yet they won't even consider trying anonymity for ten seconds.
