One moment here which I was thought was quite striking: When we were talking about slogans etc to win a second referendum.
Blair's answer is really quite simple: Destroy their arguments. And that was the strategy he pursued in several elections, to great effect.
That sounds absurdly simple, but it's a reminder of something. That way of doing politics is still, despite the spin, media management etc, fundamentally about the battle of ideas.
It's a battle, based on reason and evidence, over policy. It is not about identity, or tribalism.
The fact that this very basic statement of rational debate sounds radical and fresh is obvs troubling as fuck.
