MoviePass is at it again. The company has launched its Uncapped plan for $9.95 a month* for unlimited 2D movies**

June 27, 2011: MoviePass announces a beta plan for a subscription service that will let users watch unlimited movies for $50 a month. A few days later, the beta plan is put on hold after AMC and other chains say they won’t participate and weren’t consulted beforehand. 2/
October 2, 2012: MoviePass announces it’s relaunching yet again, trading the voucher system for a sleek debit card that subscribers can use to get their tix. As reported by Variety, the pricing varies by market but averages out at $29.99 a month. 3/ wired.trib.al/X3ESLfZ
July 2016: Things are relatively quiet for a few years. Then MoviePass brings on a new CEO and a new pricing plan. The tiered system has more options, with prices starting at $15 for two movies a month in small markets, up to $50 a month for an unlimited pass in major cities. 4/

April 13, 2018: MoviePass has had a heady few months: Millions of new subscribers join in short order, and the company experiences plenty of growing pains to match.

The 30-movies-a-month pass for $10 suddenly becomes a four-movies-a-month pass for $10, and people notice. 6/
December 5, 2018: With a new year on the horizon, MoviePass announces—surprise!—a new pricing scheme. The market-based tiers of 2016 make a comeback with prices from $10-$25 per month for 3 tickets, depending on where you live and how many restrictions you can cope with. 7/
