Elsa, the mother, was deported while her son, Anthony, was kept in a Houston shelter.

Even though the Trump administration said there was no family separation policy.

She was alone in Guatemala, without her child, unsure what to do. She got calls from him, but that's it.

Three MONTHS later, Anthony was flown to Guatemala. They were reunited in the airport, mother bawling.

We continue to see scenes like this in the States, like what happened w/baby Juliet in San Francisco, even though Trump said he ended family separation. sfchronicle.com/bayarea/articl…

Anthony is shy now, he doesn't talk as much, & Elsa has to work hard to make sure can move past the trauma that he experienced during separation.

The gov. officially separated 2,700 kids like Anthony. It said "thousands more" were likely separated, but doesn't know how many.

This is just one of the stories highlighted by the Post. There are more in this piece, and thousands, thousands more across our country.

The gov. jailed more than 40,000 parents & children in February alone.

Let that sink in.

We are operating a mass system of family trauma.
