Sombra é "Shadow" ou "Shade"?

Aqui estou eu para acabar com esta dúvida, que surgiu novamente esses dias por aqui. Saca só que é mini thread:
Shadow

Significa sombra, mas a do tipo que reflete na parede ou no chão quando o sol bate na pessoa:

- She was so tired she got scared when she saw her own shadow on the ground!
- Ela estava tão cansada que se assustou com sua própria sombra no chão.
Shade

Aqui é quando nos referimos a um local onde o sol não bate, um local à sombra:

-It’s so hot! Let’s find a spot in the shade!
- Está tão calor! Vamos encontrar num lugar à sombra!
