Aries-Aphrodite Meme is misdirected, & let me clarify it to some extent. Narasimha/Mars is pacified by Sharabha, the same w/Aries being pacified by Aphrodite for "creation to continue". Narasimha is the benign-force in a sense that it's the Bull/Taurus-slayer, while itself being- 
-backed by the Moon to fight Sharabha. While Moon is more powerful than Mars, but Moon as the Foundation, is joined by Venus, who pacifies Narasimha to be (so-called) defeated by Sharabha for the transition of one Yuga to the next one. Varuna's Pāśa subdues Narasimha's rage, etc.
Theoretically, Ares desires bringing the best of all, & survival of the fittest (Power of WILL), which is bound to Fail, or BACKFIRE, in the ever-perpetuating flux of the material world! Only reason Mars/Ares got so much power is via the boon of Lord Shiva to be above Venus, etc.
