I sincerely do hate how anything a person says about a candidate—positive or negative—gets filtered through the lens of presumed partisanship.
I genuinely like Joe Biden. His politics aren't mine, and I've never thought he was the right fit for this historical moment, but I think he was a good vice president and a good surrogate for Obama on the trail.
I'm never going to see a Democratic candidate for president whose politics are mine, but as a campaigner and as a public speaker, I found stuff to like in Joe Biden.
This shit, though? This shit we're all talking about today? It's fucked up. And if the only way you have to process it is whether you like Joe Biden or want him to be president, well, that's why he's been getting away with it for so long.
