This photograph allegedly shows John and Clarence Anglin - the two brothers who escaped from Alcatraz; in Brazil, 13 years after their disappearance.
I know there is a TV show going on about this, where a journalist found the place where the photo was taken. What is it called?

Douglas MacArthur died #OnThisDay in 1964.

Photo: He is seated in the original chair of the old lord of the St. Benoit Chateau, France. September 19, 1918.
MacArthur received the Medal of Honor for his service in the Philippines Campaign, which made him and his father Arthur MacArthur Jr. the first father and son to be awarded the medal.

This African girl was exhibited in a human zoo in Brussels, Belgium, in 1958. The "exhibition" happened at the Brussels World’s Fair, where a Congolese village was displayed with the intention of "proving" Belgium's claim to have "civilized" the "primitive Africans."
The entrance of the exhibit featured a bust of King Leopold II, under whose colonial rule millions of Congolese died.

1) It's not my explanation, it’s from other, smarter humans, and I'm doing this in a thread to invite correction from Sherlockians to correct me. Google “How old is Doctor Watson” and their studies kick out.

But to see if I can still do it *from memory* ...
2) Watson graduated from medical school school in 1878 - it’s in the very first paragraph of A STUDY IN SCARLET (okay*that* I just opened my copy to check) - is wounded in the Battle of Maiwand in 1880 so his recovery, later fever, etc kicks him loose in 1880
3) I *think* one of the stories implies he was born in 1850? Again, winging it, but at the *oldest* he’s 30/31.

Birmingham City’s 2017/18 financial results covered a season when they finished 19th in the Championship, only avoiding relegation on the final day, and had three managers: big-spending Harry Redknapp, Steve Cotterill and Garry Monk. Some thoughts in the following thread #BCFC
#BCFC loss before tax more than doubled from £16.4m to a barely credible £37.4m, primarily due to massive investment in the squad: wages rose £16.1m (71%) from £22.5m to £38.6m, while player amortisation increased by £5.0m from £2.6m to £7.6m.
The higher #BCFC loss arose even though revenue grew by 9% (£1.6m) to £19.1m and profit on player sales was up £1.9m to £2.1m. All revenue streams increased: broadcasting £0.6m (9%) to £7.6m, match receipts £0.6m (13%) to £5.1m and commercial £0.4m (6%) to £6.5m.

watching some columbo for the first time in my adult life (I missed around a third of primary school due to illness so probably saw some but I was more of an Ironside man when I was 7). It is indeed a man who is in some of my favourite films in my favourite kind of tv show.
My wife has the only decent Murder She Wrote tattoo I've ever seen, maybe a columbo one in my future.
and yes, I am aware "more of an Ironside man when I was 7" and the idea I had detective fiction hot takes as a 7 year old is venturing painfully into self parody
