Lasith Malinga played an #IPL2019 match (#MIvCSK) till midnight.

He was there till the end, bowling full steam, taking 3/34.

At some point he took an international flight (immigration customs etc I suppose were fast-tracked).

He reached Kandy for a 9.45 AM start match.

Thankfully, his team (Galle) was asked to bat first.

Fully charged, he took first over for Galle, bowled unchanged for 9.5-0-49-7, and blew Kandy away for 99.

His wickets included Samarawickrama, Senanayake, Chaturanga, Thisara - all international cricketers.

I have left out three specialist international bowlers.

And cricketers - especially fast bowlers - complain about workload.

Remember, Slinga is 35, and on the last leg of his career.

This is nothing new. Cricketers have always taken a lot of workload, including matches in consecutive days in cities hundreds of miles apart.

If anything, there is *less* cricket these days.
