Reading up on Equatorial Guinea and they've never caught a break since 1968.

At independence, they had the best medical services, the lowest death rate and the second highest per capita income of any sub-Saharan African country.

-He killed off everyone who wore spectacles
-Kept the national treasury under his bed or in suitcases in his hut.
-They would switch off the electricity whenever he left the capital (Hey, KPLC)
-He exiled a third of the population
And it gets worse...
-The only imported goods available in the market at the time were tinned sardines and pink champagne
-Owning even a page of printed matter could get you killed.

The only reason I think of for having a coal plant in Lamu is the opportunity to loot from public coffers. There's absolutely no strategic, economic or environmental reason for such a bone-headed decision other than corruption.

Here's Britain's total annual electrical energy mix by source. The continued and growing dependence on Natural Gas bodes very well for countries like Tanzania and Mozambique with significant proven natural gas deposits. It's clean and supply can be adjusted at will.
The US exhibits a pattern similar to GB's. This is historical power generation trends as reported by the Energy Information Administration (EIA). There's a clear decline in coal power production which is what sparked Trump's "bring coal jobs back" nonsense.

Je tiens à préciser, afin que tout soit le plus transparent possible, que Romane a travaillé seule pour la préparation de son émission, toute la semaine, notamment grâce à @NBAextra qu'on regarde le soir. Elle a préparé d'elle-même des fiches en prévision de l'enregistrement.
Le jour de l'enregistrement, dimanche, il a fallu qu'elle revoie un peu ses fiches et qu'elle fasse plusieurs prises pour chaque séquence. C'est un boulot fastidieux. Elle a fait preuve de beaucoup de patience et de persévérance. Elle y a passé environ deux heures.

Over the years the Kenya Police has acquired a dubious distinction of being the source of insecurity instead of providing security. In many instance, to many Kenyan’s the police represent a clear, and imminent danger to the lives.
But the transformation from the source of security into a bastion of insecurity didn’t occur overnight, and neither did it come as a surprise; it was an inevitable outcome of multiple factors.
Before the 2010 constitution, the police was at the beck and call of the executive, which used it as a tool of coercion. The executive used the police however deemed fit to meet its political ends.

People basing real decisions, at real jobs- both public & private sector-on false information. We have the most powerful military, biggest Economy, in the most industrialized nation in the world making Domestic & Foreign Policy based on fasle information.
This can & will end only one of two ways. Either we reverse course before catastrophic consequence or we experience what could be the most catastrophic multi-national event that has occurred since WW2 & the most grave consequences since our Nation's inception nearly 300 yrs ago.
