2. Here's the agenda for that 2012 Trump event. Note Trump & Trump sycophants who supported Mitt Romney listed as "the Intrepid Special guests" Priebus, Guiliani, Trump. Romney has long been woven into the same GOP machinery that brought us the Trump WH. He's not a liberal ally.
3. Romney chose Kris Kobach, Trump's single most notorious anti immigration crusader who has ties to White Supremacists as an advisor in 2012. Romney supported the Kobach backed law SB 1070 that institutionalizes racial profiling.

Former Blackwater security guard Nicholas Slatten was found guilty of first-degree murder for killing Ahmed Haithem Ahmed Al Rubia'y, an unarmed Iraqi civilian, at Nisur Square in 2007.
Nicholas Slatten was the first of seven Blackwater guards to open fire in the massacre at Nisur Square that left 14 Iraqi civilians dead, prosecutors say.

His charges call for a mandatory life sentence.
Three other Blackwater guards were found guilty of manslaughter and other charges in 2014. They remain in custody after an appeals court ordered for them to be re-sentenced.

Rumors circulated on Chinese social media about Professor Zhang’s death, some trying to link his death to the possible investigation by US govt or tied to the arrrest of Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou.
The CA based firm had raised capital of $434,5M. It’s major backers include the Zhongguancun Development Group, a Chinese state-owned company funded by the Beijing municipal govt.

A thread on China in Africa.
People have made a big fuss about China's involvement in Africa, some going so far as to call it "new colonialism." It's deeply ironic when US or European officials make this claim, considering their countries' imperial and colonial histories.
But let's take the accusation seriously. The first thing would be to find out how Africans themselves feel. Surprise! Approval numbers are pretty good across the continent. Even higher in certain countries.
