Who have shoveled sh*t.
Dug ditches.
Mowed lawns.
Cleaned toilets.
Washed dishes in a diner.
Laid dry wall.
Who have short order cooked.
Cleaned up blood in emergency rooms of hospitals during the late shift.
Who have cashiered at a convenience stores
somewhere in this world.
Who have worked the basement in a bodega lite by a single bulb.
Who sold plants out of a van.
Worked on framing crews for contractors.
Bounced in bars.
Who worked security jobs at some god forsaken building in the middle of the night.
Bussed tables.
Who hosted in restaurants
Who checked coats.
Body guarded.
Stood as door man.
Drove a taxi.
Who drive a bus.
Who have driven a full truck back and forth to the dump for days on end.
Dug out garbage in buildings.
Who have worked all these same jobs we all have. These jobs and so many more.
To all you people who work harder then next.
Who sweat and cry.
Who look at their reflections and ask themselves when will I catch a break. When?
We are going to make it. We are going to smile at each other again.
Whi are going to reach out.
We are going to bow our heads in shame together when we see something or hear something dishonorable.
We will lift each other up once again.
Work hard at it.
Real hard like we've worked our whole lives.
Worked these jobs.
These jobs.
Our jobs.
Work hard to do what's right. No matter what you've done before.
Do not push a stranger in a crowd just to get ahead.
We won't use the veil of a mob to hide our intemperate lust of greed.
Instead we will stand out. Stand up. Speak out.
For one another.
Out there everywhere.
All colors. All who love.
YOU people.
