Didn't make it into the story, but this is the summary chart showing the discontinuity in health outcomes (lower = worse) that happens when you cross from the late sunset to the early sunset side of a time zone border washingtonpost.com/business/2019/…
These effects happen because people on the late sunset sides of time zones stay up later, due to more PM daylight. But they can't make up for it in the AM because work times don't change with the sun. So they miss out on ~2 weeks' worth of sleep each year washingtonpost.com/business/2019/…
