I'm getting really tired of the growing false whine that Dems are "scared" of impeachment, and that they should "begin" something called "impeachment hearings".

Serious question: how do "impeachment hearings" differ from the dozen or so investigations House Dems are doing?
People whine about Pelosi saying "impeachment is off the table". That's only half of what she said. It's "off the table" *until there is sufficient evidence".

The purpose of the investigations is to establish exactly that evidence.

Investigations are the necessary precursor.
It is not at all clear what people want House Demos to do that they're not doing.

They are conducting "impeachment hearings". They're just not calling them that.

Why not call them that? Because this way, they rob GOPers (and the media) of a powerful talking point.
GOPers plan to run on being victims of Democratic partisanship. It's a big winner for GOPers, and a big fundraiser. They're robbed of that argument this way--and meanwhile, Democrats do precisely what is needed to set up any possible impeachment.
Do you want Democrats to work faster? Already, they've held more hearings and issued more subpoenas and demands for documents than at any time in history for the first four months of a new Congress.
Yeah, the media isn't covering it well--just like they didn't cover Hillary's detailed and voluminous policy proposals, instead focusing on an airplane on the runway waiting for Trump to deplane.

Guys, you're all being played. Again.

Calm the fuck down.
Be clear: it's good to keep pressure on, to remind America of the stakes and to avoid normalizing the horrors.

Do it in a way that doesn't slander Democratic leadership and weaken the Democratic Party.

Blue is the only bullwork against fascism.
