Metal debris, defective products and assorted junk — ladders, strings of lights, etc. — litter the planes. Major airlines have complained. It looks like the problems that contributed to the 737 crashes are part of a systemic breakdown at Boeing.
The juxtaposition between Boeing employees saying *on the record* that they wouldn’t fly on the 787 and Boeing execs saying their production quality has never been higher is...jarring.
