1. A tale of two pictures. Media treatment of @PeteButtigieg vs. @TulsiGabbard.
2. If it is not obvious to people yet, I hope this thread will wake some people up to what is going on. The establishment and their friends in the media want Pete Buttigieg to be the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate.
3. Look at some of the words the media uses when talking about Buttigieg: sunshine, rising, star, ascent, boost, boom, hottest, surge. They continue to make comparisons to Obama.
4. Now look at what they say when talking about Gabbard: disarray, under fire, implodes, exit, rough, trouble, indecisive, impulsive, spouting propaganda, over, controversial.
5. None of this is an accident. This is a conscious effort by the establishment and media to spin Mayor Pete as a progressive champion and Tulsi as a nobody. In fact, for the most part they have been ignoring her altogether.
6. They push Buttigieg as a millennial star and a minority candidate since he is openly gay.

7. Meanwhile, Gabbard is also a millennial (she is less than a year older than Buttigieg) and also a minority candidate (a Hindu woman), but crickets.
8. Look at the pictures they choose when reporting on them. Pete is always smiling. Tulsi looks troubled and distressed.
9. Compare that picture to her banner on her website where she is smiling and looks great. You may not even be able to tell that it is the same person.
10. So why is it that Buttigieg gets this kind of treatment? Is he really the best hope for the future of humanity? No. He checks off all the boxes for the establishment:

- Harvard graduate
- Rhodes Scholar
- McKinsey and Company consultant
- Naval intelligence officer
- Mayor
11. Despite the narrative that he “came out of nowhere”, they have had their eye on him for a while now.

12. Here is another example from June 2016. These types of articles do not get written by accident. It is an attempt to influence public opinion. If people hear something enough, they start to believe it.

13. In 2015 he was invited to the White House by the Obama administration to attend an event regarding a “Smart City” initiative.

14. Buttigieg was also mentioned as a possible candidate for a Cabinet-level position in a Hillary Clinton White House. Curiously, any source for this seems to have been scrubbed from the internet, but it is mentioned in this article.

15. Here he is looking very chummy with Mark Zuckerberg in 2017. Their time at Harvard overlapped, but it is not known if they knew each other back then.
16. Meanwhile, the media has been completely ignoring, for example, the fact that crime and violence are up significantly under Buttigieg’s watch as Mayor of South Bend.
17. They have also been ignoring the fact that many of his policies have hurt minorities.

18. In Buttigieg’s book he shrugged off the impact of Harvard students pushing for a living wage for campus workers. Here is a take from @IBJIYONGI who was there at the time:

19. You can tell how much the media likes him when even a “hit piece” on Buttigieg portrays him in a positive light.

20. Instead of criticizing Mayor Pete for his decision to fire a black police chief who was facing racist attacks from senior white officers in the department, the @nytimes chose to quote a Buttigieg ally who said he “learned a lot from the experience”.
21. Would the times have been so kind to Tulsi Gabbard? It is very unlikely. For another example of the contrast between these two candidates, let’s take a look at their military backgrounds…
22. Pete says that serving as an intelligence officer taught him the importance of service, and he wants to institute mandatory service for all Americans.

23. On the flip side, Tulsi says that her service in the Hawaii Army National Guard showed her first hand how devastating war can be and how important the pursuit of peace is.

24. It should be no surprise then that the establishment is pushing the candidate who will follow their script when speaking to the public and support their agenda in the shadows all while completely ignoring the candidate advocating world peace.
25. Tulsi’s legislations and voting record speak for themselves. Her interview with @joerogan from last year should serve as a good introduction. #tulsi2020

Missed this when researching:

Zuckerberg's spokeswoman, Amy Dudley, said the Facebook chief knew Buttigieg previously and described the pair as friends.
