Absolute nonsense to make responsible people pay off their own student loans and then also pay off the student loans of other people via taxes.
This is just trying to buy votes with taxpayer money.

The whole reason we have such such an issue with student loans was government intervention led to skyrocketing tuition costs. These proposals exacerbate the problem and shift the burden while doing nothing to manage costs.
Here is an actual proposal that would help diminish the problem moving forward and provide relief to those who actually need it:
