I have put together a guide to voting strategically "pro-Remain" in the upcoming 2019 European elections, based on the 2014 results. It's a pretty blunt analogue, because the picture was so different then, but absent detailed polls it's all we have...

The single biggest way you can influence the upcoming European elections is to convince Labour-voting family, friends and colleagues that Labour are a pro-Brexit party. Spell out that this is all about Europe, not domestic policy. Then point them towards Remain alternatives.
In other words, there's no disconnect between voting Labour in the local elections then voting for a pro Remain party in the European elections 3 weeks later, because the ground being fought over is entirely different.
After all, in the absence of a second referendum, the European elections are the closest we're going to get.

- Plaid Cymru
- Sinn Fein

LEAVE

DON'T CARE ABOUT BREXIT
- Stay at home, don't vote
Note: there are other smaller parties, and independents, but the above are the parties I believe are most likely to have a chance of picking up MEPs. By all means peruse the whole list, and make up your mind - this is just a little nudge in the right direction.
Note 2: Northern Ireland, especially, is quite nuanced. Only 3 MEPs available. Study the 2014 election results, and any polling between now and 23 May. There are more choices than I had room for in my original tweet.

Carpe Donktum, whose video the president tweeted last month, is now a Qanon guy.
Even if you don't believe in Qanon and all the baby eating, it provides a tremendous Overton Window value to the far-right.

Dirty tricksters like Alex Jones and Posobiec don't believe in Qanon, making them appear mainstream right by default.
Maybe, thank the lord, Carpe is trolling here!

This would make more sense! In the pro-Trump internet ecosystem, he's pretty tight with the guys running Reddit's r/The_Donald, who think Qanon is extremely dumb, makes Trump supporters look bad and instantly ban all mentions of it.

Been thinking about drawdowns and how they affect people

Bob Wilson's Resorts International short is a good example

Wilson at the time had $40m of equity, $200m of exposure. Resorts was a $3.5m short

(sources: Killing the Market, Money Masters, WSJ, Wapo)
"considered himself a moneymaking machine" compounded at 35% 1965-1977

Now needed "time out for repairs" - a 6 month round-the-world trip

Negative on the economy but thought the market wouldn't do much
"this is a very stagnant time"

Didn't hide his Resorts short
Wilson thought Resorts was overvalued and Atlantic City not competitive with Vegas

Another way to look at Resorts: something exciting and new for people who previously could not afford to travel to Vegas
