I want the best brains in the North to debate here.

We initially bought into the idea of GEJ wanting to depopulate the North/adopt Paul Biya's style after he took over power from Ahidjo Ahmad bcos of his outburst over 1st October bombings in which he exonerated MEND in 2010.

We used our all in the North to vote him out, truly he didn't take the insurgency seriously until towards election period

It's 4yrs gone but the North east isn't still secured worse is the entire North west is sinking in a very short period of time with no attn from @MBuhari

We are used to matching orders that translates into nothing from the President so who can we now point as the one behind Real depopulation of the north and complete destruction of its infrastructures?

All the three geo political zone of the north re collapsing

My own theory is telling me our decades of poverty glorification which made acclaimed leaders of the North docile is the reason we are facing this scary situation.

While we glorified the poverty of Danliti who earns less than $100 a month with 4 wives & 15kids he's boiling up

Also his children whom he can't give decent food let alone education too re boiling up, the uncontrollable births with no means/intention of caring for the children who end up as Almajirai re boiling up so all these years we where seated on a time bomb that is currently exploding

If education was prioritized in the North the surplus could have looked for greener pasture in other countries while sending hard currency back home.

But there's no education & as such this limits the opportunities of finding a better life outside the borders of Nigeria

While I acknowledge the French national caught @ Sambisa forest & all the conspiracy theories surrounding the insurgency & banditry we must acknowledge that we provided the fertile ground for whatever ugly thing that's ongoing in Northern Nigeria.

We must take responsibility

No matter how much any foreign power want to destabilize your country you must have given fertile ground for it to be effective.

Let's stop blaming anyone for our woes, put all hands on deck, work round the clock & change this ugly uncontrollable events that's taking place

Security is the most expensive sector of every economy, the more security challenge the more money will be spent with no account monies that would have been used to better the lives of everyone not just the people of the North.

Whatever money spent is giving us more disorder

Since the 80s until date the north remained home to diff Islamists appearing with the aim of establishing an Islamic state who in no time get recruits who re ready to die bcos of poverty.

They re promised a better life if it succeeds or heaven if the die trying

This two promises of either a better life or heaven re the reason they kill & don't mind dying bcos heaven awaits them so it's a win win for them

Having a huge population of ppl with the above thinking is the worse thing that can happen to any nation cos they re gunpowder!!!!

If urgent steps re not taken to address the exceptions I raised 10yrs from now even u who is an elite can't govern any state in the North bcos of insecurity

Same way the President of Yemen is leading from Saudi that's how u guys will lead from Niger or Chad bcos of chaos!

There's no one who can be as blind as someone who is killing with divine justification, someone who thinks killing you is a responsibility God bestowed on him & if he gets killed he will enter God's kingdom such a person have nothing to loose!!!!
