A write up on Atishi :
@AtishiAAP Marlena is the AAP candidate from East Delhi & she's fighting elections against @GautamGambhir of BJP.
I first heard her name when I stumbled upon a Facebook ad (obviously sponsored) by AAP.
Something told me that there's something really fishy
about her. She had this 'too good to be true' image in that particular video. Thus I tried to dig a little deeper and found out some really interesting facts.
Atishi Singh was born to Delhi University professors Vijay Kumar Singh and Tripta Wahi and she was given this rather
unusual middle name "Marlena" by her parents which is a blend of Marxist and leninist. In other words, she's a born communist.
In 2006, after the honourable Supreme Court of India gave capital punishment to Parliament attacks convict Afzal Guru, Atishi's mother Tripta signed
his Mercy petition along with other "eminent" personalities.
Also, in 2013, both her parents signed a crying letter to contemporary president as Afzal's mercy petition got rejected.
Look who belongs to the family of original tukde tukde gang!
Her mother also helped in raising
money for 2001 Parliament attack accused SAR Gilani. Also, as per her colleagues, at the time of the Kargil war, Ms Wahi refused to donate money for the soldiers killed or maimed in the conflict.
"Why do we need to pay them? These soldiers are paid to die," Ms Wahi had
allegedly remarked, as per a report.
Wait! I think we all have heard this before?
Her father Prof. Vijay Singh of Revolutionary Democracy, Kavita Krishnan and Somnath Chatterjee from CPI(ML) who were the executive committee members of Indo-Nepal People’s Solidarity Forum
(INPSF) wrote 'Radical Notes' on Maoist Resistance to oppose Indian Hegemony in Nepal.
In other words, her family is the textbook example of the term #UrbanNaxals
Now coming back to her own work. She's hailed as some sort of "education reformist" by liberals and their ignorant
fan base. But in reality, she's has done nothing extraordinary. On the contrary her entire fame is based upon lies.
