The quotes which inspire you most, reveal a lot about you as a trader. My favourite quote was Babe Ruth’s ‘Never Let Fear of Striking Out, Keep You From Playing the Game’. - My bad was: Fear of losing, being wrong, which caused me to miss out on great trades. 1/5

Another quote which had a big impact on me was Warren Buffett’s Noah Rule: ‘Predicting Rain Doesn’t Count, Building Arks Does’. This reflected my tendency to do the analysis, but then to monetise it effectively. 2/5

Then there was a quote I came across by ‘Phantom of the Pits’: The best loser is the long-term winner'.
For me, the ability to ‘Lose Well’ and to ‘Detach my Ego’ from losses was vital for me to remain balanced and trade well. 3/5

Ed Seykota’s famous quote always stood out for me: “Win or lose, everybody gets what they want out of the market. Some people seem to like to lose, so they win by losing money.” It reminded me we have hidden needs and that it is vital to remain focused on core goals. 4/5

Finally a quote by mountaineer, Edmund Hillary. ‘It not the Mountain We Conquer, but Ourselves’. A reminder that the key battle to succeed, is the battle within me, the battle with my ego, with my hidden self. Win that, and I improve my chances of wining at trading massively.5/5
