It's $50 to act as a speed bump to make sure no one incorporates a company without due deliberation, since there are carrying costs for them (even with no activity).

Our definition of "student" is quite broad and includes non-traditional institutions, MOOCs, bootcamps, etc.
If you've got any other questions, atlas@stripe.com is happy to answer them for you.
Why do this? Aside from it feeling right, we think that society pervasively underestimates how much impact people can have early in their career by tackling big, real problems. We know you'll surprise us, and wanted to help.

You don’t need permission to do hard things, but the world thinks you need permission to do hard things, and it will tell you this, and so many people who are capable of doing hard things have no demonstrable success at it because they haven’t received permission yet.
(There exist elements of the set of hard things that one factually does need permission for, but they’re exceptions rather than the rule. Writing a book, for example, is a hard thing; you can do it alone in a room with about $5 of materials.)
Is this operationalizable? One way: if you explicitly filter on “has X done a hard thing”, consider providing an escape hatch for folks with ability but who life hasn’t arranged explicit permission for yet.

Also, more licit opportunities for showable hard things a good thing.

Take your phone number off your Gmail/etc accounts and use hardware or TOTP 2FA.
Incidentally, while the cryptocurrency community provides easy one-stop-shopping for high-value targets, once criminals develop a business process to exploit this they could plausibly expand into adjacent markets.

This *very much* includes startup founders, etc.
Ideally you do business with financial institutions which will not just give all the money irreversibly to anyone capable of spoofing your cell phone but strongly consider defense-in-depth against attacks like this.

Some friends/acquaintances of mine had near misses to similar.

Three anecdotes on writing online:

One essay of mine demonstrably created more economic value than everything I've done in ~15 years of my career. Probably combined.
I produced a bit of scholarly output in my life, including being published in a legitimate journal.

The most useful essay, measuring by citation count in legitimate journals, is an HN comment which I posted on my blog because it was getting long.

It spawned a small genre.
If I were to list the ten most important relationships to me careerwise, at least six of them are directly subsequent to writing a shedload online, and the other four are just slightly more indirect.

As #food is a necessity, it is natural that #entrepreneurs are lured into venturing in the F&B business. What more with #IR40, we often think of taking business one step ahead: by involving tech!
Now let's break this down into two types of niche within #fooddelivery and #fnb industry.

1. You own the restaurant and you are providing an additional delivery #service.

2. You don't own any restaurant and you are merely the delivery service.

The two are very different!
To help put points into perspective:

#1 is a classic example of pizza stores such as @DominosMY. Any #eatery can set up its own delivery system.

#2 is a rather new invention. Such examples would be @foodpanda_my and @GrabMY's GrabFood service!

Schwere Herzkrankheit des Verstorbenen seit Geburt, mehrere Herzoperationen danach, versagensbereites Herz durch das es jederzeit zu einem Herzinfarkt kommen konnte.

Ob jemand strafrechtlich verantwortlich ist für den Herzinfarkt, ist im Ermittlungsverfahren.

I've told my local golf club that I don't want membership, but a deep & special partnership where I will permit them to provide golf course & social facilities to me & in return I have complete access to their facilities. Negotiations are going well, expect deal in place by Oct18
Part of my garden abuts the golf course. I have asked for a seamless border with no fence. In return for this the Golf Club will have free access to cut my lawn in return for me planting vegetables in the rough. I do have a red line that Golfers must not enter my garden though.
The Golf Club seem to be behaving unreasonably now. They are objecting to my proposal to offer reduced price access to the course via my garden. They will gradually come to understand that not only are my proposals reasonable, but that I hold all the cards in this deal.
