Don’t let the outrage over this patently absurd story obscure the fact that Donald Trump has been recycling the Kremlin’s talking points on #Ukraine since at least mid-2016

Trump totally threw Ukraine under the bus at his notorious first Oval Office meeting w Russian FM Lavrov in May 2017 where he bragged about firing “nut job” James Comey

Sound familiar? Here’s Trump in July 2017 (!) pushing similar nonsense conspiracy theories about Ukrainian government support for Hillary Clinton’s campaign and calling on DOJ to investigate.
Buried on p 125 of the Mueller report: then-candidate Trump says privately at a March 2016 meeting with his advisors that Europe should take primary responsibility for the #Ukraine conflict and that the conflict should not get in the way of improved US-Russia relations.
Then there’s the time Trump yelled at his TV screen when he saw then UN Ambassador Nikki Haley criticizing Russian aggression in Ukraine. “Who wrote that for her? Who wrote that for her?” @peterbakernyt

I’d forgotten about that mini hullabaloo when Trump argued, bizarrely, for readmitting Russia to the G8 and downplayed the fact Moscow was expelled for invading Ukraine (“Something happened a while ago...”)
in a 2017 call with Angela Merkel Trump "had little idea of Ukraine’s importance, its history of being bullied by Russia or what the United States and its allies had done to try to push back Mr. Putin” @MarkLandler

Unfortunately, a big part of the problem is that he keeps treating his own team--and even the Russians—the same way. That approach flies in the face of all best practices that have gone into staging US presidential-level interactions with the Kremlin for decades. 2/
It also inadvertently reveals Trump doesn’t actually have a Russia policy beyond all the happy talk about “getting along with Putin.” Trump has never made a convincing case about why Russia is so important to his foreign policy, which just feeds suspicions about his motives. 3/

Here's Pompeo on May 1 talking about how Maduro "had an airplane on the tarmac, he was ready to leave this morning as we understand it and the Russians indicated he should stay. He was headed for Havana." cnn.com/2019/04/30/pol…
Trump later walked that story about the plane on the tarmac back and called it a "rumor."

These new charges could potentially tie Paul Manafort's alleged crimes to the change the Trump campaign made to the GOP platform in 2016 (softening language about arming Ukraine to defend against Russia).

That was the only change to the GOP platform requested by team Trump.
A few things to keep in mind:
1. Paul Manafort was caught offering to give Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska ‘private briefings’ on the 2016 Trump campaign. Manafort was deeply in debt to Deripaska, a key Putin ally.

2. The only change to the GOP party platform made by the Trump campaign was a reversal on the GOP's plan to insert language calling for the US to provide lethal defensive weapons to Ukraine.

Paul Manafort was the campaign manager during the RNC, when this all took place.

those are all troll factory/internet research agency accounts.
so pull the accounts that follow them.
you get all these shady looking accounts with the same stats.
drop the false positives, drop the duplicates. you get about 180 accounts worth looking at.
