I have just under 30 days left of being in my 30s so I thought I would start a list of things this decade has taught me.

The first one is:
"Do you really need to buy another tub if hummus? Or should you check in the fridge first?"

A quick disruption to an anxiety or panic attack can be achieved by researching something trivial you are curious about. The brain simply cannot process panic and learn.
I like to research how mice steal eggs, for example.
But you chose your own random curiosity.

Not asking for things does not mean you are less of a burden, it means people do not know what you want.

The only question I really care about is
“Did I love well?”
I wrote a little about that here:

There is nothing honourable about pushing on through illness and crawling into work. You’re rubbish at what you need to get done and you infest everyone around you. Stay at home. Keep your plague to yourself.

You can do all the kind things all of the time, and not everyone will like you. And that's OK.

Financial worries will not fix themselves. You need to be proactive.

Speaking of which, you can buy prints of any of the photos from my website, or instagram heardinlondon.com/pictures and I also do photo shoots for self esteem, if you are interested, message me x

Beware the cult of "Too Busy."

If someone says they are hurt or offended by something, it is more important for you to listen than to undermine their experience by saying it was not intended “that way”.

This is a great starting point for undoing many systematic oppressions we are taught.

Putting one day of the week in the diary as a “nothing night” and respecting is as much as I would a commitment to someone else, changed my life (and mental health).

When I am rich, richer than my wildest dreams, i am going to hire someone who can walk into my office once a day and I can hold up a piece of paper and ask "What the hell did I mean when I scribbled THAT?"

Bereavement (and other traumas) can cause massive functional memory loss. It is a phase. it is your brain trying to protect you from constantly remembering. Write things down. Write everything down. It will slowly start to come back to you.

I’m trying 100 days of asking for things I don’t think I deserve to get. (Hence last tweet). It’s amazing what can happen when you find the courage to ask. Keeping yourself small doesn’t serve any of us. Just try your best. And whatever you do, do it with Love.

We should learn how to talk about miscarriage.
I wrote about this a while ago here:

You are your happy ever after.

Just to add a final, and possibly most important lesson of my last decade:
Nothing goes in the Tupperware cupboard without a lid.
