Be careful as you push legislation to force women into continuing pregnancies against their will because you think life begins at conception.

You know what else contains living material?

Your ejaculate.

All penises have the same parts:

And we women are going to keep talking about your penises— in depth— that will probably make some of you sick to your stomachs and some of you might even cry.

And then maybe you’ll consider the fact that women’s reproductive parts aren’t just being discussed, they’re regulated

The abortion industry would have you believe that people like me do not exist. They would have you believe that the pro-life movement is almost exclusively old white men.
And even among millennials who have maintained a religious affiliation, many favor same-sex marriage and show less appetite for the “culture war” than their elders do.

1. For those bemoaning what the future will be under the GOP lunacy on abortion - we're already there.

Pence's Indiana shows the drive to criminalize pregnancy. A severely depressed woman, Bei Bei Shuai, attempted suicide. In a sane world, this would lead to psychiatric care...
2...in GOP-ville, this resulted in criminal prosecution and imprisonment. You see, Bei was pregnant. At that point in Indiana, she no longer was a person, just an incubator. The fetus miscarried as a result of the suicide attempt. So she was charged with "murder."....
3...she was denied bail. Denied bail for attempting suicide. She was in prison for 435 days - about 1.5 years. (Meanwhile, Brock Turner was being sentenced to 6 months in prison - or 3, given time served - for sexually attacking an unconscious woman.) Bei had no money to pay...

There are a lot of things about the current attack on women's rights that really upset me, but religion based pro-life hypocrisy is something that isn't touched on enough. ( a thread ) #AbortionIsAWomansRight
I'm not talking about the people who are pro-life just for themselves. I'm talking about the people who use their religious beliefs as the basis to take away someone else's rights. People who shame you at clinics and support candidates who will further their religious agenda.
People who want to ban abortions claim that it's God's plan and only God creates life as reasons abortion should be illegal. This unwanted baby is what GOD wanted, so you cannot terminate the pregnancy, health or desires of the mother be damned. There is no place for science.

If conservatives are so concerned about “fetuses” then why don’t they protest IVF clinics?

IVF procedures produce countless viable embryos which are discarded.

Is it because it’s mostly rich, mostly white couples who do IVF and this issue isn’t about “fetuses” at all?
Alabama put a carve-out in the bill for IVF. Meaning they DO NOT CARE that these embryos are lost.

Alabama State Senator Clyde Chambliss said: “The egg in the lab doesn’t apply. It’s not in a woman. She’s not pregnant."

In other words, all they care about is controlling women.
Whatever happened to “Life begins at conception?”

If what these people care about are “embryos,” if they truly believe that “abortion is murder,” then why aren’t they calling IVF murder?

Answer: because they don’t believe any of it. They believe in controlling women.

However, I don’t think many people are vocal about their views. I’ve heard people who’ve done much deeper dives in the space than me say that folks will profess to be anti-choice, but when you dig deeper it’s more complicated.
People seem to have an imaginary idea of who gets an abortion and what qualifies as a “good” abortion and a “bad” abortion. Of course, when you make laws, those distinctions are hard to create. I think when women realize THEIR rights may be changed, they’ll push back.
