I sometimes think that true privilege is being able to comfortably assume your own experience is the cultural background noise of wherever it is you live. Christian holidays are recognized with days off from school and horror movies that don't require big bricks of exposition.
Like, the first time I met someone who said to my face that Christians were systematically being persecuted, it was when a dude came to a meeting of the campus Pagan Association and got asked not to start praying for our souls. Our rejection of his canon was unthinkable.
Update on privilege and assumptions: I assumed because most of the people who know me know I live in America, this tweet would be read from an American perspective. I do know that Christians have trouble in some parts of the world. Those parts of the world weren't my college.
