I’ve seen this floating around, written by an alleged Christian pastor and shared by the kinds of people who think bumper stickers make good points. It’s completely absurd, dishonest, and cynical, and I will now explain why: 
Let’s start with the first two sentences. The unborn never make demands of you? What? Unborn children certainly make demands of us, especially our own, which is exactly why 60 million of them have been killed. It is precisely the “demands” they make that lead to their execution
Id be justified in dismissing the rest of it based solely on the absurdity of the beginning. But let’s continue. He says they don’t resent your condescension. Yes that’s true, but they are killed because of it. He says they don’t need our money. Again this is just insanely stupid
He says they don’t bring baggage. Again: they bring tons of “baggage,” WHICH IS WHY THEY ARE KILLED. The unborn are the most vulnerable, the most needy, the most victimized. And what’s more, they can’t say thank you. They can’t repay what you do for them in anyway.
That is why the pro-life movement is inherently selfless. Pro lifers gain nothing from this. We won’t even get a thank you. We take the stand we take simply because we believe it’s wrong to kill innocent humans. Barnhart finds some other cynical motivation but can’t explain it
He goes on to the usual tripe about how pro lifers ignore born children. This is garbage. A lie. It has no basis in fact. There is no evidence for it. Pro lifers adopt all the time. Pro lifers help the poor all the time. We also happen to think you shouldn’t kill babies.
Barnhart thinks we have to throw orphans under the bus in order to advocate for the unborn. That’s like saying you throw cancer patients under the bus when you volunteer at a soup kitchen. It’s a total non sequitur. We don’t have to choose. We can do both.
In conclusion, this post from Barnhart is false, stupid, dishonest, incoherent, and deeply cynical.
