Unfortunately too many Americans don’t even know why we celebrate Memorial Day… Worse they confuse it with Veteran’s Day. Memorial Day is a solemn day of remembrance for everyone who has DIED, serving in the American armed forces.

2. While it’s nice to be remembered consider this... thanking a veteran or active duty service member for their service on this holiday is akin to wishing they were dead. Thanking service members for their service is actually what Veteran’s Day is for.
3. Is a time to remember our brothers and sisters in arms who have given the ultimate sacrifice. As a member of the @AmericanLegion I have attended numerous rememberance ceremonies at past member’s graves and with my post placed flags, read speeches in salute of their passing...
