One of the many things I love about Talmud is how *human* it is.
Who is considered such a sage?

Rav Nahman, buffing his nails modestly on his shirt, "C'est moi! C'est moi, I blush to disclose, I'm far too noble to lie
That man in whom, these qualities bloom
C'est moi, c'est moi, 'tis I!"
I also really love the weirder of the discussions, like in a few paragraphs we've gone from discussing what to do with meat if you realize it's not permitted to... this.
-So, how big does a hole in the wall have to be to transmit germsImean r i t u a l i m p u r i t y
-about the size of a fist
-and how big is that
-the size of the fist of this one dude we all know
-and how big is that
-y'know, the same size as a human head
-k, let it be the law
