Another Star Twinkle Precure thread about Blue Cat and Sakurako 😅
I’m not letting this go until the day I know I’m wrong
So even though Blue Cat has cat ears, she also has pointy human ears

I just noticed that many anime characters usually have their ears revealed, this includes much of the Star Twinkle cast. Not just the main characters but several other of the other characters

Now I’m not including every character but it’s safe to say almost every character has visible ears

Now before I get to the exception, there is one other character to mention here. However in several shots throughout Ep. 16 she has her ears visible and they look mostly normal

The REAL exception is yes, you guessed it
Himenojou Sakurako
Her ears are NEVER visible. Throughout Episode 16, even when she is erratically running about, her ears just don’t show

That being said, I haven’t rewatched Episodes 4,5,9, or 12 (the other episodes she appeared in) so I went through her photo gallery in the Precure wikia and sure enough, ears are never visible EVER

Even in situations they should logically be! On occasion, her face looks weird simply because her ears are not where they should be. Her hair is doing a pretty good job at hiding them from us
Almost like Toei wants to keep it from us 🤔🤔🤔

Perhaps her ears are hidden because they are pointy like Blue Cat’s ears

There is one other character in the Precure series that has pointy ears but her hair (which strangely enough is ALOT like Sakurako’s hair) covers it
Towa Akagi

We’ve seen her pointy ears as Twilight and Cure Scarlet But she covers them up with her hair in her Towa form. In Episode 27 (go Princess) she had hair hair up at a festival and her pointy ears were visible as well

So what if Sakurako’s ears are not visible because they are pointy and give her away to the audience
This could mean Sakurako really is Blue Cat after all!

I mentioned in my previous thread that although Sumire Uesaka voices Mao, but perhaps Taichi You (Sakurako’s voice Actress) could voice her other self as Blue Cat and Sakurako

For example before Episode 15 aired, Sumire Uesaka was revealed as Mao’s voice Actress. Yet I find it strange that her Blue Cat form is not next to her

Because after Episode 15 aired, Mao’s profile was updated onto the Toei website, and her Blue Cat form is next to her. But why wasn’t this form next to her in the above picture🤔

Perhaps because Toei doesn’t want to reveal that ONLY Mao is voiced by Sumire Uesaka while Taichi You voices her alter ego, Blue Cat. And since Sakurako is voiced by Taichi You, this could mean that indeed, Sakurako, Mao and Blue Cat are one and the same

In Episode 17, Blue Cat briefly disguised herself as Drums (the dragon alien) to send away with security staff. The cat ears and tails were still visible on Drums. But here’s the thing...

The disguised Blue Cat as Drums had Mao’s ear cloths on his head while the tail was Blue Cat’s tail (it didn’t have the bell on the tail that she does while as Mao)
So perhaps Blue Cat CAN transform into someone without her cat ears and tail still visible.

Maybe the only reason she did during that time was to let the Cures know it was her and not Drums

Another interesting theory I have is that Sakurako is perhaps a split personality that Blue Cat developed. Maybe after Planet Rainbow was destroyed, Blue Cat with the perfume she had ended up on Earth. She transformed into a human but lost her memories

But thanks to the perfume, she could transform back into Blue Cat but for some reason, she developed a split personality. Her human form is Sakurako who doesn’t remember her real past

Sakurako might not even know she’s Blue Cat. Whenever the girls encountered Blue Cat, it was not on Earth. Because they have school, they only go to other planets on the weekend so perhaps Blue Cat’s other personality as Sakurako only manifests during the week days

This would suggest that Blue Cat knows about her Sakurako personality but not vice versas. This could explain while Blue Cat knows a lot about the girls.

Then there’s Bakenyan of course. Who knows, maybe Bakenyan caused Blue Cat to develop a split personality in the first place 🤔🤔

And finally, I heard a theory that perhaps Blue Cat was the princess of Planet Rainbow and was the only survivor.
And well, Himenojou Sakurako means “The PRINCESS Castle’s Cherry Child”
