@ddale8 ...Winning the presidency, regardless of how, is 'getting away with it'. Successfully suppressing the investigation is key to his 'getting away with it' value system. Destroying others isn't only a defence mechanism. It's the pleasure of getting away with it.
@ddale8 Cruelty isn't the point. If cruelty is required to get away with something, so be it. They say he can be kind in person. If there is no audience, there's nothing to get away with. There is no pleasure.
@ddale8 Narcissism, flamboyance, wealth, losses, lies big and small. Had there been no audience, there would be no pleasure. Hence the constant campaigning, leading to bigger and bigger lies. If the stakes don't grow, he isn't getting away with it.

@ddale8 Donald Trump has always been the black hole of pleasure seeking. But wealth, women, 757s, estates, Mar-a-Largo, misogyny, even loosing The Plaza, his yacht, or a $billion can be a source of pleasure to a shameless person as long as there is an audience.
