1) Say what you will about CNN, and frankly CNN is awful, but there is no comparison between CNN and MSNBC. MSNBC is so, so much worse and their coverage today is the perfect example.
2) Between 1 and 3 pm MSNBC is better than CNN but after that MSNBC is a disaster. 4 PM on MSNBC is George Bush's former press secretary talking establishment politics with Never Trumpers and former CIA operatives in a show where conservatives out with even centrists like 2 to 1
3) But it’s really 5 pm and 7 pm where MSNBC just goes off the rails. There might not be a more dishonest on air “talent” outside of Joy Reid than Chuck Todd who clearly has free reign to do and say whatever he wants, facts be damned.
4) in fact if MSNBC had any journalistic integrity, Chuck Todd’s ass would be fired and today is the perfect example. Did he like Jake Tapper finally admit that Biden came back down to earth in recent polling? Of course not. He just lied his way thru multiple segments claiming
5) that polls are all pretty much unchanged. No mention at all by him that Biden dropped 7 points. And he’s followed at 6 pm by Ari Melber who is all over the place but outside of Maddow probably the most Russia
6) obsessed and to be honest at times is so forgettable that I had to add him to this last after I finished because I originally forgot he was between Todd and Mathews despite having just watched his show within the past hour.
7) Then at 7 pm we have Chris Mathews who is only less guilty than Todd because honestly I think he’s not too bright and actually believes some of the crap he’s saying. Mathews also basically lied about the recent polls. After that we got Chris Hayes at 8 pm who can be one of
8) the best at MSNBC or CNN for that matter when he wants to be, but quite frankly, there might not be a bigger wimp/coward on cable tv then @chrislhayes . I literally saw him get bullied a few months ago on twitter by the Hoarse Whisperer Hillbot account or the Dane account, I
9) forget which one, into changing his coverage on his show that night to be less positive about Bernie. Hayes will never go against the company line and it’s pretty damn obvious that the powers to be want to Biden which is why their head honcho donated so much money to him when
10) he hosted a fundraiser for him right after he announced. Then you got Maddow at 9 pm and Maddow is Maddow. After which you Lawrence O’Donnell at 10 pm who might be the biggest snake of the group as he has agenda and will push it no matter what even that means giving tv time
11) to discredited “author” Michael Wolfe just because he will say what O'Donnell wants to hear. O'Donnell told viewers that he would be all over the candidates until they released their taxes, but as soon as Bernie released his, he stopped talking about it almost at all and
12) certainly would never mention it in regards to Biden. And then finally we got lying Brian Williams at 11pm whose show pretty much is him interviewing former CIA people and Republicans and praising them. He gave George Will a more positive/softball interview than he would
13) ever of gotten on Fox News. Basically if your name isn’t Steve Kornacki or Ali Velshi or Kaise Hunt, on a good day as she can be all over the place too, you don’t get the news. Just propaganda and horse race garbage with pro war propaganda and tons of Russia coverage.
14) BTW another major problem MSNBC has is that unlike CNN, it’s next to impossible to figure out when there news people end and when there Commentary people begin. Chuck Todd is supposed to not only be a newsperson, but he’s their Sunday Morning show guy, so he’s supposed to be
15) near the top maybe only behind Lester Holt and the guy acts like more of an opinion host then freaking Don Lemon does. Look at this garbage on his show today of how he covered the recent polls. He gaslighted his viewers twice. streamable.com/rwm1f
16) First he says nothing had changed in the polls despite Biden dropping 7 points and 10 points to Bernie overall, and then even worst he talks about how the polls are pretty static and will remain so until the debates as if he wasn’t the jackass a week or two ago who was
17) claiming that Bernie was plummeting in the polls and Warren surging at first misidentifying the Quinnipiac poll as having Bernie down 5 points when he was up 5 and then pretending that poll didn’t exist once it was pointed out that it showed his narrative was bogus.
18) if I was bernie’s team I wouldn’t let Chuck Todd bear Bernie at any point this cycle as I’d keep the interviews with MSNBC’s journalists, not their version of Laura Ingraham. Todd is no more a journalist than the Morning Joe crew.
