Singer from Bangalore has taken extra efforts to translate Tyagaraja Kritis into Kannada, forcibly fitting words into rhyming proportions set to original Ragas! 🙄

Now she wants to sing/record them! 🤦‍♂️
Called to ask if I could recommend her work to CD companies!

As it is one prince from the Kerala country sings Tyagaraja in Malayalam and nobody can understand!

But it sings ALL zongs of ALL combozers in Malayalam, so it is generally excused. 🙆‍♂️

Now Kannada translated songs is vere level torture! 🤦‍♂️
Bangalore singer has threatened to send samples also! 😱

For my private listening apparently...with a promise that I should keep it a secret till her CD arrives in the market.

What exceptional bad karma I must be having! 😭

On my recent trip into remote Andhra, I took a fascination to the iconic traditional breakfast 'Dibbarotti'. The process is tedious but the taste is equally mind blowing! Finally managed to master it!

I must confess, traditional Andhra recipes are highly time consuming, very tedious and require a lot of patience, if they've to be done right without compromising on anything! Only someone with the luxury of time can afford them!🙆‍♂

Other southern cuisines come across as easy!
Recipe!

Ingredients: Full round Urad dal (Minapa gundlu), sona masuri rice, rock salt

Process:
1. wash and soak 1 cup Urad dal for 10 hours.
2. Wash 2 cups rice and dry it in shade on a cotton cloth.
3. Grind the soaked dal without adding any water and keep aside.

Drove from #Bangalore to #Hospet, a distance of 350 km, on March 25th to see the #Hampi ruins. Instead of going back via Chitradurga, turned onto NH 150A from NH 48 at Hiriyur. The Hiriyur - Hospet stretch has much less traffic compared to Chitradurga-Hospet. #IndiaRoadTrip
Soon after crossing Hiriyur en route to #Hospet (near #Hampi), the landscape transformed itself dramatically. There were beautiful craggy hills and fields with the characteristic red soil of the region, with moderate to scanty vegetation. #IndiaRoadTrip
The #Hiriyur to #Hospet route goes close to #Bellary (now #Ballary), w/ its many mines of the best quality iron. Saw trucks transporting iron ore plying on this route. Incidentally, Bellary has often been in the news for rampant illegal mining & export of iron ore. #IndiaRoadTrip
