Traders fail because they don’t take the time to truly know who they we are and how we bring ourselves into our trading. My P&L will reflect my life. If I do the work in making good routines and habits I learn to trust myself. If I have a good process that is profitable and
repeatable, life gets rough for rough I have a choice, trust myself and make the necessary adjustments, or drown myself quickly or slowly. When health issues crop up or life gets hard I can fall back on my process, those that keep me accountable, good habits I built. Habits=trust

We can be the most knowledgeable Technical trader or the most well informed fundamental trader. If we are not on top of our game physically, emotionally, spiritually then we cannot make necessary adjustments to our trade and position management. Another reason to have a mentor

I can’t stress it enough, take the money you make OUT of your trading account. Grow your bank accounts. If you make an informed business decision to increase size, then transfer more into your account. Protect and conserve your capital. Grow it consciously one trade at a time
I’m not giving tax advise. I am not an accountant. I am just saying to take care of your taxes. Open a seperate account for taxes. Preferably at a different bank. Talk to your account about quarterly estimates. paying taxes means you are making money. Take care of ur business

I have nothing to prove to anyone as a trader anymore. I manage my families fund. I only have to meet my families needs-I am thankful everyday I do. But-I know that can change quickly. I have worked really hard to make sure I focus only on the next trade. To build good habits
so I can trade without emotion. I remove my P&L and let the market tell me where I am wrong. I also surround myself with much better traders and smarter technicians and fundamental analysts then I will ever be. I have a good group of people to share 22 yrs of experience with.
God willing my experience will help other traders continue the battle to be long term profitable traders. We have to be around traders that can help us see what we sometimes don’t, that can help us in and through their knowledge and experience. Be on guard for that 1 bad trade

I make my living as a trader. Since 98 I have traded my own money. Along the way I have had a coach(Mickey Hoffman)and a mentor(@whitewavetrader) who saved my career. I became a very large NQ pit trader. I have enjoyed great success as a trader. I have had a ton of experience
I have traded through 2 bear markets and also many corrections. I have traded through he biggest change in the history of trading with the move from pit trading to screen trading and made the transition successfully. Not without a LOT of ups and downs. I learned how to survive
The lower points of my career. After divorce and a series of business and clearing firm failures I started over again. Trading a small account and going back to basics of what I was taught in 98 and what made me a successful trader. I stuck to the basics because they work.

Fascinating book written by ⁦@ruhlman from inside the operations of a local grocery store, learning from its owners going about their business, receiving and merchandising food and contemplating the evolution of the food system and the central role played by the supermarket
9000 SKUs: “The country’s first grocery stores, in the late 19th early 20th centuries, carried about 200 products. During the final decades of the 20th century the number of SKUs exploded. The avg supermarket had fewer than 9,000 items in 1975. By 2008 that number had quintupled”
Turns out, somewhat obviously, that this explosion in CPG SKUs coincided with cable TV going mainstream (and the corresponding proliferation of TV ad slots) in the early/mid 1980s
