Arrived at a much brighter looking Rolls Building for the #twitterblades High Court hearing. We’re now expecting to hear from Douglas Harmer tomorrow. Updates to come from around 10.30am on here and on thestar.co.uk #sufc
Kevin McCabe, Jeremy Tutton and Simon McCabe are already in court
The case is sitting in private for the first five or ten minutes #twitterblades #sufc
And still we wait. Apologies about this #twitterblades #sufc
Expecting (hoping) to be back in court shortly #twitterblades #sufc
The worst part of this is I've left my brew in the courtroom and it'll now be cold #twitterblades #sufc
And just as I say that we're in court and Marianne Kafena is in the witness box #twitterblades #sufc
Andreas Gledhill QC, for UTB, is asking her to confirm her witness statements are hers #twitterblades #sufc
Paul Downes QC, for McCabe's SUL, will now cross examine Miss Kafena #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Downes is questioning Miss Kafena on what she knows about Charwell #twitterblades #sufc
Miss Kafena tells the court she can't give any evidence as to where money paid into a bank account she dealt with came from or why #TwitterBlades #sufc
Following the discussions in private this morning, people involved in the transaction are only being referred to as 'M' and 'H' #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Downes asks: "What is the legal basis for the payment of money by 'M' and 'W' to this company? What was the legal basis? You can't give any evidence about that cab you?" Miss Kafena said: "No." #twitterblades #sufc
Miss Kafena again says she cannot give any evidence about whether transactions were made with the possibility of investing in Sheffield United #twitterblades #sufc
And that concludes her evidence. Hossam Alsaady is now in the witness box #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Alsaady tells the court he acted on behalf of Mr Bin Laden with the Charwell deal #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Downes asks: "Can you recall if you were the person who introduced Prince Abdullah to Mr Bin Laden?" Mr Alsaady says: "I was not." #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Downes asks Mr Alsaady if he knew Sela Sport were involved in the transaction. He shows Mr Justice Fancourt an email to Mr Alsaady which states Sela were involved. He claimed earlier he was acting on behalf of Mr Bin Laden #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Downes shows the court a document which shows Mr Alsaady was acting as a representative for Sela Sport #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Downes asks: "How do you reconcile that with your evidence a moment ago that you weren't the representative of Sela Sport?" Mr Alsaady replies: "I can't." #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Alsaady said: "At the time I wanted to protect the identity of my investor but the purpose of this NDA was for me to get access to information to assess the transaction." #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Downes asks: " Are you trying to help them [UTB] by minimising Sela's role in this transaction? " Mr Alsaady replies: "No, I'm trying to present my case." #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Downes asks: "So, the truth of the matter is that you understood, full well, didn't you, in December 2016, that the potential investors included Sela Sport and Dr Raman?" Mr Alsaady says: "I actually asked Dr Raman during that meeting [Dec 2016] ... And he had no intention."
Mr Alsaady now tells the court he 'wanted' Sela Sport to be an investor #twitterblades #sufc
And it's time for the first break of the day. Complicated legal talks so far this morning but to recap Mr Downes QC claims Mr Alsaady knew Sela Sports were a potential investor, while he claims he was acting solely for Mr Bin Laden over the Charwell deal #twitterblades
We're back and Mr Downes QC is continuing to question Mr Alsaady #twitterblades #sufc
Court now being shown various WhatsApp messages and emails regarding the Charwell deal in late 2016 #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Alsaady tells the court: "Such fine details of something from many years ago is genuinely difficult. I am trying to help you." #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Downes running through further emails from Prince Abdullah in January 2017 about the Charwell deal #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Downes is now questioning Mr Alsaady how the offer changed from 25 per cent share to 50 per cent share in the space of a few days in January 2017 #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Justice Fancourt interrupts and tells Mr Alsaady: "Mr Alsaady, various people will try and interpret the documents and make sense on them at various stages. What we really need from you is what was being said in the meetings and what you were told by your principal."
Mr Downes again shows document to the court which show the 'lender' as Sela Sport #twitterblades #sufc
Heated exchange now as Mr Downes says 'time and time again' Mr Alsaady failed to correct people on the Sheffield United who thought Sela Sport were behind the Charwell deal #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Alsaady said there were 'sensitivities' around the name of his principal - Mr Bin Laden #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Downes QC said: "Why is that there is not a single document from the McCabe side where they refer to Sela Sport being behind the loan, do you not correct them?" Mr Alsaady said: "I don't know." #TwitterBlades #sufc
And we're breaking for a short lunch break until 1.30pm. I'll try get a round-up from this morning online before then #TwitterBlades #sufc
Apologies for the delay, I'm back in court and we're back underway. Round-up from this morning should be working its way online as we speak #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Downes is now going through messages between Mr Alsaady and Prince Abdullah after the Charwell deal had been agreed #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Alsaady and Mr Downes are continuing to have heated exchanges #twitterblades #sufc
Court now being shown an email from Mr Hawasli to Prince Abdullah and Yusuf Giansiracusa chasing payment in May 2018 #twitterblades #sufc
Mr Downes is claiming that a bank account which money was paid into was a USD account, not a sterling (GBP) account #twitterblades #sufc
And Mr Alsaady has now finished his evidence and Andreas Gledhill QC, on behalf of UTB, has no reexamination #twitterblades #sufc
And that's us done for the day, I'll admit that's caught me by surprise. We'll not be hearing from the share valuation experts until 11.30am tomorrow when my colleague @dhayes_news will be picking up the baton. Full round-ups to come #twitterblades #sufc
