Since the photo on the left was taken, St Marys has undergone a period of gentrification/regeneration that saw a pedestrianisation of the road. I can't get the angle quite the same, but the google maps screenshot illustrates what it looks like now

More on last night, according to the #SouthWalesEcho 🔊:

1. Crowds numbering thousands gathered on St. Mary St, Custom House, The Hayes, and ‘the top end of Bute-road’. This area of town was cordoned off ⚠️, and only business-owners were allowed to pass.
2. ‘The police were in strong force at all the danger points particularly at the entrances in the quarter where negroes reside’

3. Much of this crowd was obviously out for blood, trying to push into Butetown, but the Echo also says ‘there were 1000s of others, including 💃 and 👦🏼, who mingled in the crowd out of sheer curiosity’

Il y a 2-3 ans, j'ai commencé à "collectionner" et à renseigner dans une base de données des pochettes de disques dans l'optique de rédiger sur #spacefiction un billet portant sur l'usage des cartes (et globes) sur ces dernières... Corpus de pas loin 200 pochettes à ce jour ! 1/4
