mata rajakunvari devi smaraka samsthana and us are grateful to all dharmanishtha sajjana-s w/ whose good wishes rgveda shankhayana parayanam n samskara diksha shivira have been successfully held in village vishambharapur, avadh.

The shankhayana rgveda parayanam was held under the auspicious shadow of the sacred peepal tree which exists at least from the day the village was settled.
It must have been great tapasya of the ancestors of this land that it has contributed to the revival of a veda shakha.

The samskara diksha shivira ensured that 25 young boys got to live the traditional gurukula life of a brahmachari, learning and doing all the mandatory rituals, also studying basic bharatiya itihasa and aachaara.

On the first day, upanayanam of all the participants was performed and they were initiated into brahmacharya. Village ladies sang mangal geeta for the auspicious ceremony.

For bhiksha, we took a tour of the village, people were very happy to give bhaikshyam and get a glimpse of the lifestyle of our forefathers.

In the mornings, brahmachari-s used to take out prabhaata pheri, carrying bhagva dhvaja n singing songs of motherland and ancestors.
It was so inspiring that sometimes random villagers would also join in.

Seeing young boys learn the basics of dharma, several elder men also requested the acharya-s training brahmachari-s to train them as well. It was quite heartening to see people taking all the pain to learn at such advance ages.

Just a day before final day, all of a sudden, there was no wind or anything, a huge branch from sacred peepal tree fell down. It was an aasheervaada from brahma baba (whose samadhi precedes the temple n who established the village).
This branch gave more than enough samidha-s.

On the final day, all brahmachari-s were given certificates and best 3 were awarded w/ dharma patha sets, courtsey: @BrahmaaYajna
The general public was enthralled w/ mantra patha, samskrta kavita patha and samskrta naatikaa enacted by the brahmachari-s.

Finally, something to learn, hear our brahmachari doing abhivadanam as it needs to be done in the vaidika tradition.

Like in any yaaga which has pleased the devata-s, it rained like anything when the shivira and the parayanam ended.
May parameshvara help us spread dharma farther and wider.
