We analyzed the social media propagation of Project Veritas' latest extensively edited "exposé" (based on undercover footage of Google employees that supposedly demonstrates a nefarious plan to deprive Trump of the ability to win re-election.)

We started with Twitter, downloading tweets linking to Project Veritas or to YouTube videos mentioning Project Veritas. Traffic is nearly zero then suddenly spikes at roughly 7 AM CDT on June 24th, when the "exposé" was released. Very little appears automated.
Retweet network for links to projectveritas(dot)com in the last 10 days. Almost all of the traffic is retweets of six accounts: the two Project Veritas accounts (@JamesOKeefeIII and @Project_Veritas), @TomFitton of Judicial watch, @JackPosobiec, @MarkDice, and @marklevinshow.
An apparent feature of being one of the subjects of Project Veritas' work: being targeted with a massive barrage of trolling. (Chart shows the volume of replies/mentions received by one of the employees "featured" in the video.)
Twitter is far from the only platform on which Project Veritas' latest was dispensed. Both Gab and YouTube came first; the original YouTube video has been removed but it definitely preceded the Gab post, which contains a link to the now-removed video.
Next, Reddit. 75 seconds after linking the article/video on his Twitter account, O'Keefe sauntered on over to /r/The_Donald and posted it, to the sound of much online rejoicing.
Three minutes later and the Project Veritas Google "exposé" turns up on 4chan as well, where it has remained popular. The first post is surprisngly bare bones and non-shitposty. Eventually, a set of proposals for how to "stop Google" also emerges from 4chan's fetid waters.
Here's the full sequence of early social media activity pushing the Project Veritas undercover Google video/article. (Yes, the color coding is redundant with the information in the first column of the table, but it makes it more purty doggone it!)
It didn't take long for this Project Veritas release to migrate from social media to some of the dodgier traditional media outlets. Western fringe sites Gateway Pundit and Natural News picked it up the same day (June 24th), followed by RT and Sputnik the following morning.
Footnote: If Project Veritas was remotely serious about transparency, they would include links to the entirely of the raw video alongside the heavily edited mashup. Context matters for evaluating the meaning of words, and PV's method of presenting information removes it utterly.
