“United States District Judge Arthur J. Schwab imposed the sentence on Linda Sue Kalina, 62, of Butler, PA. The court further ordered that Kalina have no contact with any of the individuals she victimized during the imposed terms of imprisonment and supervised release.”
“In imposing the maximum sentence called for under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the Court offered that Kalina’s conduct was the most egregious of its kind.”
She accessed health records and disclosed protected health information in order to embarrass/distress people.

Legally blind, Brian (not real name) receives government disability income assistance. He's entitled to $1,269/month from ODSP.

@MacLeodLisa & @fordnation say the best social program is a job. Finding a job is hard, but Brian found PT work 6 months ago. Earns 1,842/month.
Because he is working, Brian's ODSP is reduced from $1,269 down to $448 per month (average over 12 months).
Between his job & ODSP, he has $2,290/month to live. Enough for his basic needs & maybe save some money…because who knows how long his job will last. BUT...
...Last Nov. @MacLeodLisa announced changes she said "will leave more money in people’s pockets."

This will be true for some people, but not for everyone & not for Brian. The new rules will chop his ODSP by 41%.

I was inspired by the marches in the US and UK. They look like the Civil Rights Movement and that reminded me. There is evil in the world but fighting one form of hate with another version of the same hate isn't the answer.
